  • COVID-19 Update: All group activities at the Brady Senior Center are suspended. 
  • The food pantry will remain open for now on Tues and Thurs (9 am - 3 pm) with drive thru distribution with relaxed restrictions due to COVID-19. You will be ask how many adults and children you are picking up for and  they will decide how many boxes to disperse. Normally, you would have to first register and complete paperwork and documentation to be added to the food pantry registry list. 
  • Current registered seniors may receive food deliveries during this time. 
What services do you offer?  
  • The Brady Center is a Community Center for Senior Citizens. 
  • Improve health and wellness for senior citizens ages 60 and older
  • Provides over 500 Dallas area seniors with daily meals, information and education, social activities, exercises classes and 
  • access to medical care. Breakfast and Lunch are served. Center hours  Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 3:00 pm 
  • Transportation Services to the Brady Senior Center within a (7 - 15) mile radius of the center. Call 214.826.8331. 
What is the criteria/qualifications to receive services from your organization?
  • Intake at the center, complete paperwork and documentation. 
  • Serve seniors from all the Dallas areas. Free transportation service available up to a (7 - 15 mile radius. You have to participate (3) times/week to be added to transportation list. They also offer Dart passes (must attend (3) times/week). 
Is there an application process?  How do I apply? If so, how long does it normally take to receive approval?
  • Due to COVID-19, we are not taking new members. 
Do you have enough resources to provide these services for the next several weeks or month?  
  • Currently still doing the food distribution and working with food pantry not sure how long it will continue. 
  • They are conducting weekly evaluations during COVID-19 to decide weekly distribution plans.

If my assistance period ends and I still need help, do I have to reapply for the assistance?
  • Each membership is for one year and have to renew on an annual basis. 
How do I apply?
  • Come in person to the center. Call 214.826.8332 (Myra) to schedule an appt for intake. 
Can I apply for my family member (mother, father, aunt)?
  • Usuallly the person has to be in attendance.  The seniors should be independent since they are not a nursing facility. 
Will I have to repay any portion of the aid?
  • Everything is free.

CCD serves the 9 counties in North Texas which make up the Diocese of Dallas

  • CCD is comprised of 17 individual programs serving the 9 counties in North Texas which make up the Diocese of Dallas
  • Employment Services, Education programs, Youth Education and Summer programs
  • Financial Coaching, Pregnancy and Adoption
  • Income Support, HUD Counseling, Immigration legal services
  • Neighborhood Pantries, Mobile Community Pantries (Food and Diaper Pantries)
  • Disaster Preparedness and relief services

  • To receive food please, provide one form of ID. Once you become a CCD Client, you are eligible to receive food assistance once per month, any given day of the month.

Christian Community Action

Boundaries established by the following Independent School Districts: Argyle, Carrollton-Farmers Branch (Denton County portion) Coppell, Frisco, Lake Dallas, Lewisville, Little Elm and Northwest (Denton County portion)
  • ***Note: COVID Response: CCA will be limiting the number of outside visitors and guests to their facilities. The food pantry hours will remain unchanged, but they will be implementing a drive-up distribution only to create a safer environment. Staff and volunteers will deliver boxed groceries to clients as they remain in their cars.
  • CCA is suspending the Golden Angels Senior fellowship on Monday Mornings from 3/23 - 4/6 and will deliver groceries and lunch to their homes.
  • All non-essential classes have also been suspended through 4/6. Check back at the website for updates.
What services do you offer? 
  • Food Pantry - Shopping hours are by appointment only with Mondays reserved for seniors. 
  • If you have an emergency food need, please call 972.219.4307
  • Homelessness prevention, housing stability and utility support, inclement weather interventions
  • Provide access to clothing and relevant community referrals. Christ center case management
  • Classes (ESL, Adult literacy, Job Readiness and Computer Skills, Financial Management)
  • Crisis management and relief services to meet the immediate, critical needs of families or individual during a crisis.
What is the criteria/qualifications to receive services from your organization?
  • Reside within CCA's established service area
  • Provide proof of 90-day residency if requesting financial assistance
  • Be 18 years of age or older
  • Prove financial need
  • Document income, expenses and crisis
  • Provide identification for all household members
  • Have a viable action plan, or be willing to form a viable plan, with a CCA caseworker

  • As long as there is a need.

  • Complete the application found on their website, meet the qualifications outlined above
  • Note: Emergency or basic assistance may be available to those who do not meet the 90-day residency requirement, or the income guidelines outlined. CCA uses 185% of Federal Poverty Guidelines (FPG) and 80% of the HUD Poverty Guidelines to qualify individuals for CCA services.

  • ***Note: COVID-19 Response: The 24/7 Crisis Line and Front Desk phones will remain operational, however only taking intake based on lethality (Police involved cases).
  • The Outreach, Hope Center Savannah, and Transitional Housing offices are closed to the public, yet services by phone remain available.
  • All counseling and advocacy services are available via phone (only) currently
  • Donation pick-ups are suspended at this time.
  • Upscale Resale will be closing Monday, March 23rd at 5:00 PM until further notice. We are still accepting essentialsupplies (gloves, hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes, etc.) at the store Monday through Friday 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM 
What services do you offer? 
  • Provide comprehensive services to those impacted by rape, sexual abuse, and domestic violence
  • Transitional Housing and Emergency Center
  • Adult and Child Advocacy and counseling, Battering Intervention and Prevention Program (BIPP)
  • Upscale Resale Thrift Store -Clients and their families are provided the opportunity to shop for both personal and household needs.
  • The store is also open to the community.
What is the criteria/qualifications to receive services from your organization?
  • The Denton County Friends of the Family 24-hour crisis line serves as a way for victims to get connected to resources and obtain services, as well as a dispatch line for the SANE (Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner) and our SAT (Survivor's Advocacy Team)
  • No appointment is necessary for immediate 24-hour crisis intervention and advocacy services, including hospital accompaniment
  • Eligibility for shelter will be determined based on safety concerns related to relationship violence or sexual assault, resulting in the person having no safe place to stay. In the event a caller is not eligible for our shelter, referrals to other local resources will be provided.
